What you just said about atheist can also be said about theist, unless you think they all have no shred of doubt about their God. So either most everyone (theist and atheist) are agnostic, or your definition is “technically” useless.

absolutely not. those are different sides of the same coin. on one hand you have people that almost totally dont believe in a supernatural being, and the other that does (the theist). those are two completely different ends of the spectrum. as youve layed out, the term “agnostic” is a pretty wide definition. Therefore, thats why most people that call themselves “atheist” just go with that term too cut out the kind of bullshit where talking about right now…

and every person who claims to be an agnostic is also technically an atheist.

If you do not hold a god belief you are an a-theist…without god belief.

Being an atheist does not necessitate claiming absolutely that no gods exist or ever did or ever will. Its just not believing the god claims to date.

It’s funny that he was talking about a child doing experiments, because I was one of those kids. I used to take things apart, and put them back together. My mother would yell at me or tell me to stop taking things apart, but now, everyone turns to me when they need something to be fixed

around 9:30—> we should just, as a democracy–but only those who admit science is the arbiter of knowledge–,determine what our social “mores” is and then kinda see if it’s right or not. It’ll all be good though because science and scientists have a moral code (that implicitly will be the most formed because they have the truest spirit of discovery).
