The New ‘bathSTAR’ – An Easy, Safe And Secure Way To Bathe Special Needs Children – Press Release
The New ‘bathSTAR’ – An Easy, Safe And Secure Way To Bathe Special Needs Children
PRLog (Press Release) – Aug 10, 2011 – The bathSTAR is a revolutionary new product designed to make bathing safer and more enjoyable for special needs children.
Sometimes a baby bath seat offers less child safety than desired allowing the child to slip and slide in the tub while you are trying to hold and wash your child.
The bathSTAR bath lifter design allows a safe and effortless lowering into and lifting up out of the tub water all the while holding your child safely and securely in a comfortable and soft polyester fabric sling with padded harness, head and leg rests.
From toddlers to children up to 30kg (65lb) with poor sitting balance or needing some trunk support while being bathed the bathSTAR is ideal.
The bathSTAR removes the need of the parent or caregiver to hold on to the child with one hand and wash him with the other, because the child is safely secured into the comfortable polyester mesh sling of the bathSTAR. Both hands are free to enjoy bath time, to wash, to play without fear of the child slipping under the water.
One of the great features of the bathSTAR is its lightweight portability. It can be hung behind the bathroom door when not in use.
The bathSTAR fits most standard size bath tubs but prior to purchase and use it is important to ensure that the internal width of the tub is between 520mm & 620mm/20.4inches & 24.4inches.

MP Hone Harawira’s honouring of Osama bin Laden as a freedom fighter is picked up over the world
New Zealand politition Hone Harawira’s comments comparing Osama bin Laden to a freedom fighter have been picked up by Pakistani media, with headlines saying the MP “hailed” the slain al Qaeda leader.
You can see his comments at the beginnin of the video interview above
Harawira sparked controversy with his remarks saying bin Laden was a fighter for “the rights, the land and the freedom of his people”.
The independent MP yesterday apologised for the comments, saying he did not support the rebel leader’s actions.
“Using terror for political reasons is never acceptable,” he said.
However, his “mihi” for bin Laden, where he said people should celebrate the positives of his life, was already making headlines around the world, including in Australia, Britain and Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Geo TV published a story about Harawira’s perceived support for the al Qaeda leader under the headline “NZ MP hails Osama as freedom fighter” on its website yesterday.
“An outspoken New Zealand Maori politician has praised slain al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden as a freedom fighter who stood up for his people,” the article said.
“Harawira said the positive aspects of bin Laden’s life needed to be acknowledged and urged people not to damn the Al-Qaeda mastermind,” it said.
Britain’s Daily Telegraph also ran an article, focused on Harawira’s apology.
It said he was a “controversial figure who holds trenchant Maori nationalist views”.
Harawira “issued a rare apology after a storm of condemnation from other MPs, talkback radio callers and on internet websites,” the article said.
The Australian also ran a story on the apology.
Harawira declined to comment today.
Prime Minister John Key yesterday called Harawira’s comments a “ridiculous statement”.
Key said at the end of the day bin Laden was responsible for the murder of thousands of people around the world.
Bin Laden was killed by US special forces in Pakistan on Monday, ending a nine-year search since the 9/11 attacks which killed more than 3000 people in the United States.

Word UP!
Lovers of the English language will enjoy this. It is an example of why people learning English have so much trouble. Learning the nuances of English makes it a difficult language.
This two-letter word in English has more meanings than any other two-letter word, and that word is ‘UP’. It is listed in the dictionary as an [adv], [prep], [adj], [n] or [v].
It’s easy to understand UP, meaning toward the sky or at the top of the list, but when we awaken in the morning, why do we wake UP?
At a meeting, why does a topic come UP? Why do we speak UP, and why are the officers UP for election. Why is it UP to the secretary to write UP a report? We call UP our friends, brighten UP a room, polish UP the silver, warm UP the leftovers and clean UP the kitchen. We lock UP the house and fix UP the old car. At other times this little word has real special meaning. People stir UP trouble, line UP for tickets, work UP an appetite, and think UP excuses…
To be dressed is one thing, but to be dressed UP is special!
And this UP is confusing: A drain must be opened UP because it is blocked UP. We open UP a store in the morning but we close it UP at night. We seem to be pretty mixed UP about the word UP!
To be knowledgeable about the proper uses of UP, look UP the word UP in the dictionary. In a desk-sized dictionary, it takes UP almost 1/4 of the page and can add UP to about thirty definitions. If you are UP to it, you might try building UP a list of the many ways UP is used. It will take UP a lot of your time, but if you don’t give UP, you may wind UP with a hundred or more.
When it threatens to rain, we say it is clouding UP. When the sun comes out we say it is clearing UP. When it rains, the earth soaks it UP. When it does not rain for a while, things dry UP. One could go on and on, but I’ll wrap this UP for now because my time is UP!
Oh… one more thing: What is the first thing you do in the morning and the last thing you do at night? U-P!
Don’t mess UP. Send this on to everyone you look UP in your address book… It’s UP to you! Now I think I’ll shut UP.

Jon Stewart Comments – Rally to Restore Sanity
The enemy, Jon Stewart argued, is not Americans. It is rather a false image of Americans being pushed by the media cable news-driven – what he called “the country’s 24-hour politico pundit perpetual panic conflictinator- he said is broken and making problems worse.
“If we amplify everything, we hear nothing,” Stewart said, accusing the media of extreme fear and stress the Americans rather than reasonable. He later added that the press is the immune system of the United States – and “if it overreacts to everything, we actually get sicker.”
Stewart’s comments came at the end of the three-hour rally that drew tens or even hundreds of thousands of people to the mall.
